The less clicks, the more listens. We, as humans, are content saturated and lazy. A bad combination for multiple click asks. If you have a business podcast and want more listeners (aka, potential new clients), remember to add the listen link to your LinkedIn profile, like Paul Rosenblum did.
Don't worry, people will still go to your company website because it's also in your profile. But think about it. What's more likely to resonate with potential new clients more your voice sharing all that valuable information OR a 2D webpage. Let's be honest, websites, even in their most exciting form (I'm being generous) are dull. And yes, I know your website can have a podcast listen area. But how many clicks does it take folks to go from your LinkedIn profile to listening. If it's more than 2 (1 to click on the link in your profile + 1 to click on the play button) then reconsider streamlining it.
