In the SPT podcast episode this week, I started to connect the dots between CTAs (call to actions), podcast downloads and business leads. I also mentioned that being very clear about who your ideal listener/client is can help you to move them along this path smoother. But the thing that stuck with me after the recording the most was the problem solving aspect. Entertainment driven or hobby podcasters focus on the interesting things they can add to listener's lives
but solopreneurs who podcast are solving a problem. The solution to the problem is your product or service, right? So I have to ask you this: are you setting up your CTAs so that they help solve your potential client's problem in a small way? A sample of what you can do for them? Examples: Non-solopreneur podcast CTA: Leave a review for us on the socials versus Organizational coach solopreneur podcast CTA: Tweet 2 things you're going to focus on before you start working today. Do you see the difference? It's subtle but powerful. By crafting your CTAs in a way that they're gems that help your future clients before they know they want to be your clients is a way to add value and get them to realize how much they need you. So what’s your next CTA going to be? 👉🏾 Comment on this post with a draft of your next CTA if you'd like us to feedback on it. BONUS: Elsie asked for input on listener feedback recently on The Feed podcast, Libsyn’s official podcast. I sent in some ideas, which they played on the show. Then her and Rob expanded with some more thoughts on the matter. Episode 236, start at 15:53 for the 8 minute segment.
