I’m starting the preparation for a new micro season of Geopats. Although we’ve had many themed episodes including books, social media, and of course, coffee, I’m returning to a recent them: adults who’ve lived abroad AND grew up with immigrant parents.
The absolute first few things I do for a new season is

1. marketing
2. find the right guests

Believe it or not, this can often be one task.

The less clicks, the more listens. We, as humans, are content saturated and lazy. A bad combination for multiple click asks.

Once a month stop your podcast outreach efforts and look at who is following, liking and commenting on your social posts. It's very likely you've got a fan that you have not engaged with...YET.

Message them. Don't sell, don't push your podcast or services. Don't try to be interesting, be interested. Be curious about them, make a real one on one connection. Engage.

Too often we are searching for many people when what we really want is one real connection at a time.
