With any creation, many people are hesitant to change it after it's done. But is that what qualifies as done? Usually not. A little massaging of your podcast content goes a long way. A long way to catch the listener's attention early and keep it longer. Here are a few quick ways to improve your audio first impression. Take a listen to the first quarter AND last quarter of one of your podcast episodes. Which section is the most engaging? Which flows better?
Chances are that the last quarter is the stronger part. If that’s the case for this episode, try one of these 2 solutions: ❤️🔥 Ideal edit: start the episode body at this on-fire section and delete the earlier content. Be sure not to delete the intro when you do this. 💗 Okay edit: move the 2 sections around a bit so that this strong section is first and keep the other section in the episode after it. If you do this, make sure that the transition between the two sections makes sense in this rearranged form. You’ll probably have to make some quick edits to make sure it flows at that transition point. 🛩️ The reason for moving these sections around is to make the episode useful and engaging early in the episode. Let me know if you need any help with this.
