I was updating my list of different types of podcast messaging tasks that I use ChatGPT for and thought it would be fun to ask Chatty (that's what I call ChatGPT) for some ideas of others. And wow, we got to 100. Probably could have done more but I think this is good for now.
Which of these should I talk about next on AI and Podcasting?

I've shown you how I use ChatGPT for show notes optimization but not blog posts yet. Jennay Horn, Content Director at We Edit Podcasts, wanted to get more comfortable with ChatGPT for this purpose, so I just had to invite her on the show to do this together.
You can listen to the full episode below, check out our sexy prompt chaining, and/or read the podcast transcript. And remember, you can come on the show just like Jennay did, to work on a specific podcast messaging task. Recently I experimented with using ChatGPT to rewrite my podcast description for AI and Podcasting.
It turns out that I barely used the text that we came up with BUT creating it helped me write the new description much faster and better than ever before. How is this possible? Recently I've seen a few people suggest online that you can bribe ChatGPT to get better results. You don't actually send OpenAI anything, it's just a ploy. And it makes sense since Chatty is the collective us and we, eerrrr, accept bribes more often than we'd like to admit, right?
So I had to try it out. One of the first decisions podcasters need to make when they start a podcast is:
What format will it be? Let's dive into the idea that format is more important than the host AND explore a couple of formatting experiments. These are some AI newsletters I’m checking out. The descriptions in italics below info are their description of the newsletters, not my summary of them.
1. Redundant Tools: There are already many grammar-checking tools built into platforms like Google Docs and Buzzsprout, making ChatGPT redundant for this purpose.
2. Overemphasis on Technicalities: Focusing solely on technical grammar corrections can overlook the importance of the writer's voice and personality. I love using ChatGPT for this type of task and wanted to share with you the details of how I do it with the ChatGPT voice prompt on my Android phone. First, here's the before and after show notes output. Below is the full episode info, if you're curious to hear (literally) how we got here. Before and after show notes from the below episode
Creating a powerful conversation oriented episode is NOT easy. Use this checklist to take the guess work out of how to prepare, conduct and follow up the recording.
It can be tempting to want to attract "everyone" to our small business podcast.
But your podcast and your business are NOT for everyone. You service a very specific niche. So talk to them. Trust me, others will listen but that's not your focus. Your focus dear solopreneur is on your niche. By being specific you'll be more relatable. Let's dive into this some more. |
